So far this week I have consumed a lot of tasty teas to toast Jill Ciciarelli’s new book, “Fermented”! I have probably consumed a bit too much kombucha for my own good, but HEY! In my world, too much of a good thing IS AWESOME! Having sampled the local brewed Kombucha from Red Star, I decided to write up a review of Beyond Organic’s Kombucha teas. Get ready for some kickin’ kombucha that will truly tantalize yout taste buds.

Beyond Organic’s Kombucha brews are a unique blend of black tea and fruit. The teas come in three flavors, which are Grape, Red Berry, and Blueberry. If you are taking a look at this photo in the post, I have poured out the Grape flavor. You’ll notice the deep color to this tea. That should serve as a point here to give you an idea of how the fruit is infused with this kombucha. It is almost like drinking juice!
As for the flavors, they are nothing shy of amazing! The grape flavor is tart, almost like a tart wine. The red berry flavor is actually infused with strawberries and raspberries, and has just the perfect balance of sweet and tart. I like to think of this almost like a strawberry/raspberry kind of juice. The blueberry is the sweetest of the blends, but that isn’t a bad thing! I consider this a nice after dinner dessert drink, as it’s like a liquified blueberry pie! I should note that these brews are not brewed with cane sugar. Beyond Organic actually uses coconut nectar as the preferred sweetener in the blends. The coconut flavor is subtle (if at all present), so no worries if you’re not big on coconut flavor.
