Today is about being challenged. Today it’s about becoming everything you ever dreamed you can be! Today is THE DAY to live life at large! You’re all about to find out how to get started too! GET EXCITED!
During the beginning of this week I checked my calender only to see that there was about 40 days left until my certification date for RKC Vienna. I posted that number, that 40 day period, on my facebook feed not too long ago and had a quick response from a really good friend of mine, Zech. He has been featured on this blog before, and you can read about his story here and here.
We took it upon ourselves to take some time to mentally focus and get physically prepared for our own fitness goals. Inspired by my hard training lined up for this last month before Vienna (and yes, you will see some crazy workouts here soon!), Zech teamed up with me to complete his own fitness challenge of sorts. His goal is to prepare himself to lose roughly 10 pounds and to be energetic enough for his work, his family, and his ministerial obligations. We have took it upon ourselves to document each day on our timelines on facebook, showing the world how we are training, how we are eating, and most importantly, how we are growing as individuals on this quest for elite fitness and health.
With that in mind, I have a little wager for yinz today. Get out your calender, and mark off a 40 day period. Set some goals for yourself, be it lose weight, exercise more, eat healthier, or, if you’re like me, set some mental and spiritual goals for yourself. Perhaps you need to iron out your attitude, be more dedicated to follow your fitness path, or just work on your own professionalism. Whatever the case may be, block out 40 days, work on those goals, and chart your progress along the way.
Ultimately, our goals for this challenge is to watch how we are truly shaping our lives each day at a time, each step at a time. When we see our journey after completing this course challenge, we should notice that we have not only developed our bodies, but also our minds and hearts for the better over time. My only question for you is this:
